Jermaine O'Neal of the Portland Trail Blazers would like to thank the man who got him out of his car after a hit-and-run accident last week, but the man is nowhere to be found. The driver of the other car fled the scene but was arrested about a half-hour after the accident. He will be charged with reckless driving, assault, and leaving the scene of an accident. ... Alonzo Mourning's surgically repaired left knee still is weak, and it might not be until late this month before he rejoins the Miami Heat lineup.
